SunRice is a 55 year old company anchored in regional New South Wales and wholly owned by about 2,000 Australian rice grower and ex-rice grower members. It produces and markets an extensive range of rice and valueadded rice food products to more than 60 countries worldwide.
Business Need
NPS provided surge and battery backup for the head office of SunRice Growers. NPS was called upon to provide a solution that would provide continuous clean power in a sometimes rugged power environment.
How NPS Helped
NPS visited the remote site some eight hours west of Sydney and organised installation and supply of Powerware 3-phase 40kVa UPS with surge protection attached. The installation of the UPS was difficult, being remote. It was done with commissioning of these units to ensure installation and design were correct.
Result
SunRice is protected in the event of surges and outages, protecting its IT investment and ensuring continuity of service and operation.
