Socomec’s Modulys Green Power UPS, designed for complete vertical and horizontal modularity and scalability, is ideal for use in IT and other critical power applications. The system guarantees unbeatable energy efficiency – certified at 96% by TÜV SÜD – in true online, three phase, double conversion mode.
Achieving the desired power scaling is simple: the units feature a redundant architecture employing parallel Plug-In modules. When a new power or battery module is plugged in, the system automatically self-configures to bring the new capacity online.
A maximum of 6 power modules can be plugged into the system. The modules are available in 20 kVA power blocks and can be scaled to 240 kVA (12 modules) with 2 coupled modular systems. Battery capacity can be scaled in the same way with up to 120 minutes at full load, according to your autonomy requirements.
With real-time Hot Swap functionality, module maintenance is simple, fast and safe – avoiding any risk of downtime without the aid of specialist staff. Providing total front access to all components, mean time to repair (MTTR) is reduced to a minimum.
The system boasts a comprehensive range of communications tools, including an Environmental Monitoring Device (EMD) which monitors environmental parameters to ensure improved operation, and the optional ModBus TCP interface enables communications with BMS systems.
The UPS also benefits from a reduced footprint (520w x 975d x 1695h) to optimise floor space, reducing Total Cost Of Ownership (TCO).
